At Direct Design, we have for many years been the Importers of Solid Wood Cabinet Furniture in to the UK furniture market supplying over 400 High Street Stores as well as UK based wholesalers, including some very well know High Street names/brands. We source and supply product from all over the world from our Cardiff and Devon based offices.
Now what normally happens is the furniture itself is shipped to the UK on 40 foot containers and sold to a wholesaler, the wholesaler will then add on average 40% and then sell it to the High Street Retailer, who will in turn add at least 100%- 120% to allow for his profit and overhead costs. So by the time the actual furniture arrives at your home, it's gone through a " food chain" of supply adding at least 150% of margin to the price of the products.
You the customer actually pay for all the shops overheads as well as the retailers profit too!
That's how the furniture industry has worked for years and years.
Because we are based in Wales, we can now offer you the opportunity to cut out all those overheads and margins that get added to your furniture before it arrives at your home.
How do we do this?
It's very simple really, we already have the furniture coming to the UK to supply the wholesalers and High Street stores , we just sell it directly to you giving you massive savings by cutting out the shops and wholesalers out the " food chain"
So this is how we operate to get the products directly to you .
A. Firstly have a look through the products that we are currently importing and shipping into the UK on this web site.
B. Once you have selected the range of furniture of your choice, simply email steveday180966@aol.com with which items you require so that we can give you a full and final quote.
C. If you like the quote you receive ( and we are sure you will!) we understand than unlike buying furniture through the Internet , you will wish to see samples of the product that you have chosen, ( just like the High Street Retailers do when we sell it to them initially!) You can either come to our offices situated at Cardiff Bay to view samples or in turn you can request samples brought to your home by one of our team where we can also measure up for you the room you wish the products to locate.
D. You pay a small initial deposit of 10%, we deliver the products directly to you on an arranged date and you settle your balance just prior to delivery- I told you it was simple, theres no need to complicate it! Delivery time is 7-10 days from time of order.
